The Lakeview-Fort  Oglethorpe girls basketball team dropped its second consecutive region game with a 62-47 loss to state-ranked Sonoraville (14-1, 5-0) on Tuesday, Jan 8.

The Lady Warriors (6-8, 3-2)  were outscored in all but two quarters.

The Red-and-White, led by Courtney Crawford, were able to put together a 12-10 run in the second to cut the lead to 21-22 at the half. Sonoraville, led by Payton Smith, outscored LFO, 21-10, in the opening quarter.

Sonoraville put the game away in the third quarter by scoring 21 more points.

Crawford finished the night as the game’s leading scorer with 18 points, including one trey.

Smith had 17 points, including one trey.

Carrie Cheeks had 12 points, and Becca Cheeks had 11 for Sonoraville.

Aubrey Clemons had 10 points for the Warriors.
