A Rome man was arrested at the intersection of North Broad Street and Harvey Street after Rome police pulled him over for a brake light violation.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joshua Dante Wade, 31, refused to stop and fled from the traffic stop, going over the speed limit and eventually losing control and crashing his vehicle into a ditch. Wade then ran from police.

While searching the vehicle, police found less than an ounce of marijuana, drug related objects and crack cocaine.

Wade is charged with felony meth possession, cocaine possession, misdemeanor marijuana possession, fleeing from police, drug related object possession, two counts of obstruction of law enforcement, failure to maintain lane, brake lights violation, driving on a suspended license and probation violation.

He was being held for the Gordon County Sheriff's Office Thursday.
