A Rome man faces an aggravated assault charge stemming from a Dec. 6 domestic altercation, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

James Christopher Jenkins, 37, is accused of choking the woman twice and taking a black and silver 9mm handgun from her. He is charged with felony aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remained in jail on Wednesday without bond.
