Charles “Chad” Owen Jr., born June 12, 1973 to Lisa Hodge Cochran and Charles Glenn Owen, passed away February 18, 2018, at the age of 44. Chad attended Model High School in Rome and Jacksonville State University, where he graduated with a communications degree in 1996. Following graduation, Chad moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he enjoyed fishing, hiking, skiing and relished returning to Wyoming any chance he could.

Chad returned to Georgia in 2002, and married his wife, Melissa Owen, on October 17, 2015 in Tiger, Georgia. Chad worked as a Project Director for BluSky Restoration Contractors where he earned Presidential Club honors, setting record numbers in both his first and second year. Chad enjoyed fishing, softball, cooking, and most of all, his friendships and laughter.

Chad is survived by his devoted wife, and best friend, Melissa A. Owen (Esford). He will also be forever remembered by his mother, Lisa Cochran, and father, Charles Glenn Owen; his brother, Brad Cochran; aunt, Janet Hodge Emerson, and uncle Dennis “Dee” Hodge; his cousin, Nathaniel Emerson; stepmother, Mary Beth Owen; grandparents, Kenneth and Barbara Owen; aunts Christi (Owen) Cates and Deborah (Owen) Hoyt; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held February 24, 2018at three o’clock in the afternoon at Locust Grove Event Center in Locust Grove, Ga.
