Daniel Joseph Burnham Jr. of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, doing something he loved. The best word to describe Joseph is "Big". His heart was so big, he played big, and he took up a big space in our world. He was a giant. Friend to the underdog, defender of the weak. A rough and tumble boy who was so sweet and shy it made you wonder how the two personalities could live in the same body. He was everything we could have asked for in a son and so much more to everyone else. He leaves a big hole in our hearts. He is survived by his parents, Danny and Jessica Burnham; sister, Ayla; brother, Flint; and would be joined by a new brother Benjamin in December; paternal grandparents, Cliff and Lynn Burnham; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Amy Rice; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 1-2:45pm on Saturday June 12, 2021, at West Rome Baptist Church with a celebration of life to follow. For full obituary, visit www.hendersonandsons.com. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
