At least one of the two drivers seriously injured in a crash on Rockmart Highway was being treated in Erlanger’s emergency room late Tuesday night.
The head-on collision happened just south of Wax Road shortly before 8 a.m.
According to Floyd County police Pfc. Michael Poster:
Dylan Ingle, 24, of Silver Creek, was traveling south in a white Toyota Camry. Witnesses said Ingle drifted into the northbound lane and hit a white Ford Ranger, driven by Jason Miller, 40, of Powder Springs.
Both drivers were initially taken to Floyd Medical Center with severe injuries. FMC spokesman Dan Bevels said neither was there at around 11 p.m.
A spokesman at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga said Ingle was being treated in the emergency room. He had no public record of Miller.
Traffic was backed up nearly a mile early Tuesday morning due to the wreck.
