Mourning the passing of a Bartow County deputy

The patrol car of Bartow County Deputy Matt Aliberti, 39, stands as a memorial in front of the sheriff’s office on Zena Drive in Cartersville. Maj. Jonathan Rogers said Alberti died at his home Monday due to medical issues. Aliberti served in the Army for six years before joining the sheriff’s office in 2016 and was a K-9 patrol officer as well as a SWAT member. He leaves behind a wife, Jessie Aliberti; daughters Michaela Aliberti, 7; Delilah Aliberti, 2; and stepson Zackery Green, 13.
