Coosa High School junior Brandon Zacharis, teacher Chris Parker and senior Freddie Vargas race for the ball during the sixth annual Phernando’s Cup on Friday afternoon. Phernando Guzman, a charismatic and well-liked Coosa High School student, died in 2018 at the age of 18, after an almost seven-year fight with bone cancer.
