If Rome residents need somewhere to find unique and locally made gift for the holidays, Georgia’s Rome Welcome Center and Gift Shop has just the thing you need.

The 10th annual Winter Art Market takes place Dec. 4 and 5 and celebrates Georgia artists, crafters, and growers. The event is a popular holiday activity for locals who come to find gifts, food and outdoor decor as well as one-of-a-kind items.

Shop Georgia Made Georgia Grown, from hand-crafted jewelry to homemade jams, pottery, woodwork, professional photography and artwork.

Some of the vendors and artists include Sonja Henderson — Cake Pops, Neal Jochimsen — Sir Porker’s BBQ, Kim Manuel — Nina’s Share a Bear, Deckie Hicks and John Schultz — Bonsai tree cutting demo, Jordan Allen — embroidery, Marvin Blalock — Honey Plus, Ryan Smith — photography, Barry Gable — turned wood, Lisa Smith — Earthworks Pottery of Rome, Tom Canada — woodturning, Barbara Monday — DIGS, Inc. and Sarah Mason — Jersey Milk Cheeses.

There will also be live music provided by David Elliot.

The market will take place at the Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill and admission as well as parking are free. Market hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5.
