One of the area’s unique arts and craft festivals returns to Rolater Park in early December.
Christmas in the Country, an arts and crafts festival and shopping bazaar, will take place Dec. 4 and 5 at Cave Spring’s Rolater Park.
The event will feature 150 vendors throughout the park as well as inside the Hearn Academy.
Vendors will be selling a wide variety of arts and crafts as well as food.
The ground floor of the Hearn Academy will feature homemade jams and jellies, artisan dill pickles, pickled okra and veggies, cowboy candy, Russian tea, pepper jelly, chow chow, cranberry jalapeno salsa and beef jerky.
There will also be to live demonstrations of blacksmith forging and wool spinning.
New to this year’s event will kids area featuring a bungee jump, face painting, train ride, polar bear slide, Loris pony rides, paint your own Christmas ornament, fire safety station.
And families will have the chance to take a photo with the Grinch as well as Santa Claus who will be walking around at the event.
The festival runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 and from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 5. Admission is free.
There will be live music and cloggers and Sunday, and visitors are encouraged to register for door prizes at many of the booths.
