Rome audiences enjoyed a film screening and an intimate performance by Nashville troubadour Verlon Thompson on Oct. 8 at the Rome City Auditorium. As a kickoff to Rome International Film Festival activities, Thompson was invited to Rome for a screening of the documentary "Sweet Dreams Do Come True" which chronicles his remarkable music career. Following the screening and concert, RIFF executive director Seth Ingram hosted a Q&A with Thompson and Brent Simonds, the film's director. The Rome International Film Festival is scheduled for Nov. 11-14. Here are a few photos from "An Evening with Verlon Thompson."
