Paul Rampley and Juanita Atchley Rampley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 25. Except for service in the Army, the Rampley’s have lived in Floyd County.
The couple met in church and began dating, then were later married in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 25, 1957.
Paul served in the United States Army for 10 years. After his military years he served as a Rome City Police officer for 30 years until his retirement. Juanita worked at various businesses in Rome including Belk, until her retirement.
The Rampleys ahve three children: Rick, Rex and Ray as well as two grandchildren, Meagan and Wes.
They live in Armuchee and are active members of Fellowship Baptist Church.
