Downtown Rome celebrated International Park(ing) Day on Friday. Local organizations and businesses participated in the global project in which people temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them into tiny parks and places for art, play and activism.

September's First Friday Concert featured Rome duo Haley Smith and Austen Earp of Kindred Fire playing a variety of original tunes and covers at the Town Green Friday night. Lots of Rome families were out on a relatively cool night to enjoy the music and festive atmosphere.
