Police have charged a 74-year-old Austell man in connection with an April 17 crash that led to the death of a motorcyclist in Mableton.

Frank Bloodworth was arrested Wednesday and charged with failing to yield and second degree vehicular homicide, both misdemeanors.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and James Road near the Chattahoochee Technical College campus in Mableton at about 10:30 a.m.

Police said Bloodworth stopped at a stop sign there but did not yield to the motorcycle rider, Richard Pack, 39, of Powder Springs.

Pack was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Bloodworth was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and released on a $5,000 property bond.
