CLEVELAND, Ohio — Nick Chubb is serving up a breakfast option with the benefits going to a cause that hit him personally.
The Browns running back and PLB Sports and Entertainment announced Tuesday, April 13, that he has a new cereal, called “Chubb Crunch.” In a report from TMZ, which cited a PLB Sports and Entertainment spokesperson, the new cereal is similar to Cinnamon Toast Crunch and will feature a superhero characterization of Chubb on the box.
They also said a portion of the proceeds from “Chubb Crunch” will go toward First Candle, an organization committed to ending Sudden Infant Death Syndrome — or SIDS — and other sleep-related infant deaths.
Chubb, who played at Cedartown High School and went on to star at the University of Georgia, reportedly had a nephew die from SIDS, sparking motivation to help raise money for First Candle.
The cereal will be available to purchase online at PLB Sports and Entertainment’s website. Heinen’s grocery stores around Northeast Ohio also are expected to carry the cereal this fall.
PLB Sports and Entertainment helped produce other cereal brands featuring athletes, including Doug Flutie’s “Flutie Flakes.”
