A man was arrested on a driving under the influence charge and endangering the life of a child after officers stopped him on Cave Spring Road.
Polk County police reports said an officer was sent to Highway 27 north around Cherokee Road to investigate a possibly drunk driver.
A look out was issued to all area officers and a sheriff’s deputy stopped the car on Cave Springs Road and waiting for a county officer to arrive.
The driver, Casey Beaver, 26, of Sandrock, Ala., appeared to be under the influence of a drug, reports said.
Beaver was driving with a friend and his four-year-old daughter in the vehicle.
Beaver was arrested after given a series of field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to Polk County Jail. He was released on Sept. 28.
