Two men have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Fort Oglethorpe man.
According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation:
Authorities on Friday, Sept. 24, arrested two 18-year-olds, Keishun Rowe and Malachi Housley, both of Chattanooga, and charged them with felony murder in connection with the death of Jaylon Alexander Everhardt, 19.
On Thursday, Sept. 23, at 10:27 p.m. the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department asked the GBI to assist in a murder investigation. Police found Everhardt dead at the 900 building of the Oglethorpe Ridge Apartments from apparent gunshot wounds.
His body was taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
