The Heritage Generals, who finished Monday's first round in a tie for 10th place, dropped to 12th in the team standings after the final 18 holes of the GHSA Class AAAA boys' state tournament at Houston Lake Country Club in Perry.
Chandler Burns shot an 81 on Tuesday after a first-round score of 75. He finished tied for 15th in the individual standings.
Sam Johnson (80-88), James Kennedy (89-88), and J.T. Halloren (108-101) completed the team score of 710, while Sawyer Eaton (111-116) also teed it up for the Generals.
North Oconee posted an even-par score of 576 for 36 holes and won the team title by 13 shots over Perry (589), while Benedictine (636) was third. The Cadets finished 60 shots in back of the winners, but one shot ahead of Marist (637).
Luke Koenig also won the team title for the victorious Titans with rounds of 67 and 66 to finish at 11-under-par. He defeated Perry's Andrew Reyes by one shot. Reyes had a 64 on Monday, but only managed a 70 on Tuesday to finish at 10-under-par. West Laurens' Aren Flanders (72-72) ended his tournament at even-par to take third place.
