‘Painting for a Purpose’ benefits 6th Cavalry Museum

The 6th Cavalry Museum in Fort Oglethorpe welcomed back its popular “Painting for a Purpose” fundraiser Sept. 23, with Durinda Cheek instructing 21 enthusiastic guests to paint “Sunflowers.” The guests were treated to dinner, door prizes and lots of fun while completing their painting. October’s “Painting for A Purpose” party will be Thursday, Oct. 28, with artist Kati Schmidt. Register at 6thcavalrymuseum.org.
