Libertarian Shane Hazel has launched his campaign to unseat U.S. Sen. David Perdue in November’s general election.

“My mission is to bring people together while preserving the freedom of every individual, regardless of skin color, age, faith, gender, love and every other nuance which make us unique,” said Hazel, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

“We must come together and remove the government/corporate cabals from the lives of peaceful people here in the U.S. and around the world,” he said. “It’s time to #EndTheWars, #EndTheFed and and long past time to #EndTheEmpire.”

Hazel is the host and producer of The Rebellion Podcast. He and co-host Banks Wise, currently Matt Gurtler’s campaign manager, analyze politics from local to global level, interview candidates and politicians, break stories and read original documents like the Anti-federalist Papers in a long form format.

He previously ran in the Republican primary for the U.S. House Seventh District seat in 2018, losing to incumbent Rob Woodall.

Democrats seeking the seat are business executive Sarah Riggs Amico, former congressional candidate Jon Ossoff and former Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson.
