Marsh House to host Heritage Day Sept. 19

Marsh House Museum docent Eleanor Svenson Bookhart educates visitors about the history of the residence, which was built about 1836. The museum, 308 N. Main St., LaFayette, will host its annual Heritage Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature heritage crafts and arts and old-time bake sale with family recipes. Admission for a tour of the house will be $5. The event is free to the public with free booth spaces for crafters and artists; call 706-764-2801 for vendor information. This year’s event is scaled-back to allow social distancing; masks must be worn inside or in groups. The house was closed for almost a year for repairs, which are now complete.
