The Friends of the LaFayette-Walker County Library Jan. 5 donated a check for $9,300 to the library.
The Friends of the Library received donations and raised money through events like Meet Santa at the Library, holiday centerpiece making and fall wreath making classes.
Library Manager Tim York said the money will be put to good use.
“The money donated today will go to help fund projects and programs used throughout the year,” he said. “The library continues to expand services and resources to the community.”
President of the Friends of the Library Rachel Oesch Willeford said the community makes the difference.
“Volunteers and donors support our events and give of their time and money to make sure our library offers programs and services to serve the citizens of LaFayette and Walker County,” Willeford said.
