Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis Club hosts guests

The Kiwanis Club of Fort Oglethorpe welcomed Kristie Lawson and Hoyal Turner to its Aug. 28 business meeting. The two guests were interested in learning more about Kiwanis and the programs and events that the club sponsors and support. Lawson was introduced by Darlene Cutler and is the program coordinator for the Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Center. Turner who was introduced by Stewart Mosman was born and raised in Fort Oglethorpe and has recently moved back to the city. Kiwanis is a global organization whose mission is to “improve the world one child and one community at a time.” The Kiwanis Club of Fort Oglethorpe was chartered in 1954 and is Catoosa County’s oldest service club.
