The Calhoun Gold All-Stars competed well in last week’s Georgia Recreation and Parks Association Class A/B Flea Coach Pitch (8-under) State Tournament and came away with a second-place finish after a hard-fought battle in the championship game against Cartersville.

They defeated Whitfield County, Gordon County Braves and Rome with their two losses in the tournament, which was hosted at the Sonoraville Recreation Comples, coming to eventual champion Cartersville. The team is pictured with their second-place trophy following Saturday’s championship game.

Team members include Owen Davis, Chaple Pare, Alex Upshaw, Matthew Street, Jace Walraven, Hunter White, Evan Thomas, Blake Hammett, Travion Millsap and Hollis Crow. Team members not pictured are Spencer Evans and Rocco Baxter.

The team is coached by Brian Davis, Shane Parr, Bogin White and John Kersey.
