Halloween 2018 (copy)

Children flood Wall Street and got their candy fix for the year during a past Downtown Calhoun trick-or-treat celebration.

The City of Calhoun has announced it will observe the Halloween holiday on the actual day this year.

Halloween is on Sunday, Oct. 31, and city officials have decided to hold local festivities on the day of, rather than a move to Saturday for 2021.

The official trick-or-treating time to be facilitated by local officials will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for ages 12 and under.

Downtown merchants and businesses will host trick-or-treat on Friday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m.
