ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Another University of Georgia faculty member has resigned after administrators ruled he violated the campus sexual harassment policy.
Mark Jensen, an assistant professor in the genetics and epidemiology departments, is the third faculty member since September to quit for that reason. UGA officials announced Monday that Jensen will leave his job May 9th and cannot have contact with students before then.
A fourth professor, Charles Doyle, was reinstated Monday after being on leave because of a sexual harassment investigation.
UGA has been cracking down on sexual harassment after criticism that administrators have been slow to address harassment complaints filed against faculty members. UGA President Michael Adams announced last month he is establishing three ombudsman positions to focus on the complaints
