YOUTH SOCCER: Arsenal Select teams run into tough competition in weekend matches

The G14 lost to 1st place Oconee 1-0. Hayley Alred recorded 9 saves in goal. Their 5-2-1 keeps them in 3rd place. Malone Christen is in 2nd place in scoring in the division with 6. Next weekend they travel to Griffin to play 10th place Excel.

The G15 B lost to 1st place SSA Chelsea Yellow 2-1 Saturday. On Sunday they beat 2nd place Roswell Santos Blue 6-0. Their 2-1 record has them in 4th place. Next weekend they have two games in Atlanta.

The B13-V West lost at home to the visiting GA Revolution 04 Silver team 1-2. In the first half, GA Revolution scored their 2 goals, while goalkeeper Kevin Espinoza had 2 saves and Jacob Davis was credited with a defensive save, backing up the goalkeeper. In the second half, Ryan Samha scored the lone Arsenal goal, off a corner kick from Steven Villatoro. Goalkeeper Will Payne had 4 saves in the second half. They dropped into 5th place with their 2-4-1 record. They are at home next weekend to 4th place Athens United Black on Saturday and 10th place UFA Milton Black on Sunday.

The B13-III West lost to 5th place Smyrna Red 4-3. They are tied for 9th place with a 1-5-1 record. Next weekend they travel to 8th place North Atlanta on Saturday before hosting 2nd place GSA Premier on Sunday. Tucker Wright is tied for 3rd in scoring with 3.

The B14 V-W are tied for 1st place with a 5-2 record. They beat Mays Buckhead Blue 5-0 with goals from Micky Lopez (3), Jamie Hughes, and Will Burnes. Next weekend they are in Douglasville on Saturday with 5th place GA Storm before hosting 1st place Columbus Red Star on Sunday.

The Arsenal Academy teams hosted the Atlanta YMCAs this Saturday and posted a 5-5 record. Their visit to Concorde Fire in Woodstock was rained out Sunday. That makes the season record 19-43-1.

The G10 beat Buckhead White 4-3 with goals from Teagan Bollwerk (2), Lexie Day, and Camilla Laguna.

The G11 lost to Striker Blue 1-0 and beat Buckhead Blue 4-1.

The B9 lost to Buckhead White 12-3 and Striker Blue 10-0.

The B10 lost to Buckhead White 7-5 with goals from Marley Price, Eduardo Guijosa, Gabriel Sandoval, and Klae Theakston. They then beat Forsyth Green 10-2 with a hat trick from Tripp Watterson (3) and goals from John Miles, Sandoval, Theakston, Giovani Echanique, George Loveless, Guijosa, and Price. Finally, they beat Striker Blue 7-5 with goals from Loveless, Zeke Donner, Price from Guijosa, Guijosa, Echanique, Miles, and Watterson.

The B11 lost to Buckhead White 5-1 with a goal from Yahir Pineda. Then they lost to Cobb Striker Blue 5-0 before beating Cobb Striker White 2-1 with goals from Yaser Samha assisted by Jaden Wood and Matt Belteton assisted by Sebastian Ramirez.
