Registration is now open for the Willard Nixon Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 27 at Stonebridge Golf Course. The tournament benefits the John Pinson, Jr. Student Athlete Award Scholarship Program.
“The golf tournament is always a lot of fun for our participants, and I know they enjoy competing for such a good cause,” said Betsy Hampson, recreation manager for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. “All the money raised goes toward the John C. Pinson Student Athlete Scholarships for college-bound student athletes in Floyd County. We’re happy each year to honor them at the Hall of Fame Banquet.”
Team Entry is $300 and covers green fees, carts fees, range balls and lunch for a team of four. Hole sponsorships are also available for $100 or for $75 when purchased with a team entry.
More information and registration forms can be found at romefloydsportshalloffame.com and forms may be taken to Parks and Recreation Administrative Headquarters located at 1 Shorter Ave. For sponsor or entry information, contact Betsy Hampson at 706.291.0766 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The John Pinson, Jr. Student Athlete Award was established to recognize a male and female college bound high school senior in Rome and Floyd County for outstanding academic, athletic and community achievements.
