The Rome YMCA’s Arsenal Soccer Club Select teams posted 6 wins, 3 losses, and 3 ties this weekend. That makes their season record 12-9-3. The Academy went to Brookhaven Saturday and came away with 6 wins and 4 losses. On Sunday they hosted Concorde Fire and went 1-7-1. That gives them a season record of 25-20-1.

The G14-DE lost to 1st place UFA South GA 3-0. They host #10 Coastal Outreach next Saturday.

The 2nd place G14-DW returns to action Saturday when they travel to play 3rd place UFA Norcross Red.

The G16-A played 9th place UFA Forsyth Gold in Suwannee on Saturday and came away with a 2-0 victory to go into 5th place. Micah Vance scored a brace with both assists coming from Jayden Boswell. Keepers Emma Couch (2 saves) and Allison Loveman (7 saves) earned the clean sheet in goal for Arsenal. They travel to 3rd place AFC Lightning Sunday.

The G16-D travel to Lawrenceville Saturday.

The G19-AN tied Atlanta Fire 2-2 Saturday and travel to play GSA North on Sunday.

The B13-IIIW traveled to Kennesaw for their season opener, defeating 8th place North NASA 6-0. Goalkeeper Will Payne had a clean sheet in goal, with 3 saves, behind great defensive play and a hard-pressing offensive attack. Josh Hernandez scored in the 1st half, assisted by Jacob Fisher. In the 2nd half, Arsenal did not allow NASA any shots on goal, and added 5 of their own. Bleu Winters scored, assist from Hernandez. Tucker Wright scored, and followed it up with a corner kick assist to Steven Villatoro, who headed in a goal. Hernandez got his 2nd assisted by CJ Acas. Maddox Pyle closed it out, assisted by Isaiah Johnson.

On Sunday they traveled to Austell, defeating 4th place SSA Premier 5-1. Winters scored 2 goals in the first half, assisted by Fisher. In the second half, Maddox Pyle scored 2 goals, one assisted by Wright and the second via a long breakaway run. Wright also got a goal. Goalkeeper Will Payne had 2 saves and Joseph Hall 1. The team moved into 1st place on goal difference and will return to action this weekend with games at home against UFA Gold and SSA Chelsea Yellow.

The 7th place B14-IIIW lost 2-0 in Atlanta Saturday to 3rd place SSA Chelsea and bounced back in Carrollton Sunday with a 4-0 victory over the 11th place Storm. Next weekend they host 2nd place Oconee and then travel to Dalton to play the 1st place Hammers.

The 8th place B15-I beat 3rd place Dalton 5-0 Saturday with goals from Davis Yeargan, Shane O’Neill, Charlie Garcia, Emmanuel Lom, and Eric Palacios. They lost to 5th place Concorde 4-1 on Sunday. They host NASA next week.

The 3rd place B15-VW tied 2nd place SSA Cartersville 3-3. They host Metro Atlanta YMCA’s Striker next Saturday.

The B17-IIIW take sole possession of 1st by beating 6th place UFA Norcross 2-1. They host 9th place Decatur Wolves Saturday.

The 3rd place B19-II tied 2nd place UFA Lawrenceville 1-1. They are next at the 6th place Steamers on Saturday.

The Academy had a busy weekend and went 7-11-1.

The G9 Tied Concorde White 5-5 with goals from Lilliana Tapia, Lila Patterson (2), and Lorena Lom (2). They then lost to Concorde Black 7-4 with goals from Avagail Barksdale and Tapia with a hat trick (3).

The G11 beat Brookhaven Elite 9-0 and lost to Concorde 4-1.

The G12 lost to Concorde 8-1.

The B9 beat Brookhaven Gold 9-0 and lost to Brookhaven White 6-5. On Sunday they beat Concorde White 9-2 and lost to Concorde Black 6-5.

The B10 lost to Brookhaven Elite 9-0. They beat Gold 5-3 and lost to White 8-4. On Sunday they lost to Concorde White 9-1.

The B11 beat Brookhaven Elite 3-1 and Gold 7-1. On Sunday they tied Concorde Black (U10) 2-2.

The B12 beat Brookhaven White 9-2 with goals from Jacob Dupree (assist Matt Belteton), Grayson Perry (assist Yahir Pineda), Jake Trebus (3, assists by Wyatt Patterson, Andrew Velasquez), Yaser Samha (2, a PK, assist Matt Belteton), Jaden Wood (assist Ricardo Espinoza), and Belteton, the birthday boy. Then they lost to Elite 1-7 with the lone goal from Daniel Segura. Grayson Perry saved a PK. On Sunday they lost to Concorde Black 9-0 and White 4-1 with a goal from Jake Trebus.
