Golfers from around the state and close to home competed in the two-day Rome Junior Classic at Coosa Country Club.
Hogan Ingram was the only Roman to win his division. He took first place in the 11-13 group. He shot a two-day total of 144.
Fellow Roman Redding Shaw took third in the same group with a 156. Also of Rome, Knox Sermins took seventh with a 183 and Cooper Cates shot a 199 for eighth. Will Hughes of Cedartown finished in ninth with a 229.
Alec Patterson and Lindsey Cordell tied for fifth in the 14-15 group with 147s. Carter Anderson shot a 159 for 11th, Hank Crawford carded a 160 for 13th, Cody Boazman shot a 170 for 18th, and Sam Welborn finished 21st with a 221.
In the 16-18 group Cooper Greer recorded a 148 for 11th, Roberto Guzman shot a 174 for 34th, Ludwig Buncsak had a 181 for 36th, Miro Vertanen shot a 190 for 37th, and Jack Albertson carded a 202 for 38th.
On the girls’ side, Sophia Kalusche finished third overall wit a 146. She also finished third in the 15-18 group.
In the same group Pauline Kueper shot a 190 for 16th.
