Spencer Barber (132) finished fourth in his weight class, while Brandon Brame (106) finished fifth and will be a state alternate.

Gilmer (232.5 points) won the area title, followed by LaFayette (160) and Southeast Whitfield (147). Cass (140.5) finished in fourth place, followed by Heritage (109), Northwest Whitfield (91), Cedartown (72), Dalton (54), Ridgeland (50), Pickens (37), and River Ridge (25).
