After a disappointing straight-set loss at Southeast Whitfield on Tuesday, the Gordon Lee Lady Trojans bounced back in a big way on Thursday, taking down a pair of Area 7-AAAA squads in a tri-meet in Chickamauga.

Gordon Lee rallied from a set down to beat Heritage, 16-25, 26-24, 25-19, before handling Northwest Whitfield, 25-21, 25-10.

Caroline Thomas led the offense with 27 kills and seven aces while adding 30 digs. Julianna Spradlin had 10 kills, 27 digs, and five aces on the night. Anna Pettigrew finished with 11 kills, 18 digs, and four blocks. Sidney Pierce collected 22 assists, 33 digs, and six aces, while Hannah Lee had four kills, 24 digs, and three aces.

The Lady Trojans (12-2-1) will dive into area play on Tuesday when they join Mt. Paran for a tri-match at Darlington. Darlington handed Gordon Lee its first loss of the season on Aug. 24 in the championship finals of the Rockmart tournament.
