TENNIS: Calhoun sweeps Signal Mountain

The Calhoun boys and girls tennis team kept their early-season roll going on Wednesday by winning both matches against Signal Mountain (Tenn.) at home.

The Calhoun girls won 4-1. They got wins in all three singles matches from Sam Stewart (No.1), Calli Davis (No. 2) and Emily Brumlow (No. 3). The other point came at No. 1 doubles from the team of Bree Walraven and Lexuss King.

In the boys match, the Jackets won 3-2. The team got wins at No. 2 singles from Morgan Bird and at No. 3 singles from Andrew Stewart. Stewart's match, which went to three sets was the deciding point in the contest.

The other point came from the No. 2 doubles team of Desmond Printup and Ethan Burnett.
