SWIMMING: Darlington competes in Last Chance Invitational

The Darlington Tigers swim teams traveled to the Pace Academy Swimming and Diving Last Chance Invitational and saw success for their last meet of the season.

For the girls 200 IM relay, Lauren Chin, Mary Mararget Wright, Kristie Hicks and Emily Thurmond brought home second place with a time of 2:14.65.

In the boys 200 IM Dillon Weeks won second with a time of 2:28.72, while fellow Tiger Will Robertson followed in third with a time of 2:30.72.

Weeks also claimed fourth in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:16.66

The Tigers also claimed second and third place in the girls 50 free as Kristie Hicks finished with a time of 27.59 and Emily Thurmond finished with a time of 27.59.

In the boys 200 free relay, Weeks, Sandro Lobzhanidze, Robertson and Miles Bearden secured second with a time of 1:51.35.

In the girls 100 free, Chin added another good finish with a fourth-place time of 1:09.25.

The girls 200 free relay team of Hicks, Chin, Sami Depass and Thurmond finished fourth in the event with a time of 2:03.24.

Thurmond also added a fifth-place finish in the girls 100 butterfly with a time of 1:14.15

Robertson added another good finish with his fifth-place time of 1:08.17 in the boys 100 backstroke.

The Tigers have been coached by Mike Hudson, Preston Jacobs and Ashley Evans for the 2012-2013 season.
