The Cedartown High School soccer teams knew they were facing really good teams in the opening round of the Region 7-AAAA tournament on Tuesday. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs, neither team was able to pull an upset.

The Bulldogs (6-8) played against the undefeated Dalton Catamounts (15-0) and lost 8-0. Cedartown, which trailed 7-0 at halftime, did not have a shot on goal the entire game. A bright spot for the Bulldogs was goal keeper Chris Aviles, who made nine saves on the night.

The Lady Bulldogs (3-9-1) fell 8-0 to Northwest Whitfield in Tunnel Hill. The Lady Bruins scored four goals in the first half and four more in the second half against Cedartown.
