Last season, the Cedartown High School competition cheerleading squad proved to be the best in Region 7-AAAA. This year, they hope they prove themselves to be the best in the state of Georgia.

With seniors Laci Shaw, Breanna Jones, Mariah Longshore, Kortney Johnson, Cade Mason and Marisa Baert leading the way, head coach Brigitte Tillery believes any goal is possible for her Lady Bulldogs.

“We are looking forward to a fun and successful football season and hopefully another run at the region title in the competition season,” Tillery said.

Cedartown will open up the competition year on Sept. 14 by participating at Coosa High School. The Lady Bulldogs will also compete at Woodland (Sept. 28), LaFayette (Oct. 5), Kennesaw Mountain (Oct. 12), Dalton (Oct. 26) and McEachern (Nov. 2) before competing at the Region 7-AAAA tournament on Nov. 9 at Dalton.

Other members of the Lady Bulldogs cheer squad this season are juniors Payton Cox and Kassie Beck; sophomores Bren Lewis, Gabbie Ramos, Kiersten Pace and Emily Pruitt; freshmen Halee Blackmon, Maddie Allred and Jordan Denton.
