Sophomore Alex Kelehear went 11 of 12 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help lift the LaFayette Ramblers to a hard-fought 68-62 win over Ringgold during the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic on Friday night.

LaFayette went 17 of 20 from the line in the final period after going just 5 of 16 at the stripe in the first three quarters.

Kelehear finished with 19 points to go with nine assists and three steals. Andrew Pendergrass had a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double. Tyrese Hunter had 15 points and grabbed seven boards, while Dee Southern chipped in with 11 points.

"I'm extremely proud of the guys for competing as hard as they did and earning this win," head coach Hank Peppers said. "We had several guys step up and make huge plays to help us tonight. It was a true team effort. Ringgold is a very talented team, so it's a very good sign to see us rise to the challenge and come away with the victory."

LaFayette (4-0) will look to go 1-0 in Region 6-4A play as they open the region slate at home against Pickens on Tuesday night. The girls' game will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys' game at approximately 7:30.
