Boys basketball: Boys All-Area First Team and Player, Co-Coaches and Team of the Year


 Davy Fisher (Model), Player of the Year: Fisher, a junior, averaged 18.9 points, six rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He was named to the Holiday Festival All-Festival team, the 7-AA All-Region team, Honorable Mention All-State, and was named the Northwest Georgia Tipoff Club Player of the Year. Fisher has collected 1,341 career points, the fourth all-time leading scorer for Model. He helped lead the Devils to their first Elite 8 bid in recent school history.

 Greyson Arnold (Calhoun): Arnold, a senior, helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the Sweet 16 with his 14 points per game average. He also averaged four rebounds and one assist per game.

 Isaac Bradley (Coosa): Bradley, a junior, averaged 13.1 points, two steals and a team-high eight rebounds per game. Bradley helped lead Coosa to a state-tourney berth.

 Darrius Fugh (Pepperell): Fugh, a senior averaged 18.2 points and 8.7 rebounds on the season. He was named to the Holiday Festival All-Festival team.

 Austin Greenfield (Adairsville): The senior averaged 13 points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

 Jonathan Mason (Armuchee): The senior averaged 16.2 points per game, punctuated by 89 baskets from 3-point range – a school record for Armuchee. Mason led the Indians with 50 steals, made the Holiday Festival All-Festival team, the 7-AA All-Region team, and was named Armuchee’s player of the year by the NW Georgia Tipoff Club.

 Jeremiah McClure (Darlington): The junior averaged 12 points, 10.5 rebounds, and three blocked shots per game. He was also part of the Holiday Festival All-Festival team.

 Christian McFather (Coosa): The senior averaged 13.1 points, three assists, two steals and five rebounds per game this season. He helped lead Coosa to a 16-12 record.

 Exzavier Pace (Cedartown): The junior led Cedartown with an average of 13.8 points per game. He also averaged 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.5 rebounds.

 DJ Prather (Gordon Central): Prather, a senior, helped lead Gordon Central to the Sweet 16. He averaged 13 points, nine rebounds, and two assists per game.

 Kaelan Riley (Calhoun): The freshman led Calhoun with seven rebounds per game and an assist average of 3.5 per game. Riley also averaged 13 points per game.

 VJ Saxton (Model): The 6’4” sophomore averaged 15.8 points, seven rebounds, 1.4 assists, and three blocks per game this season. He was named to the All-Festival team for the Holiday Festival and the 7-AA All-Region team.

 Matthew Scott (Rome): The senior led Rome with an average 12.4 points and four rebounds per game. Scott was also named to the Holiday Festival All-Festival team.

 Ronell Sims (Chattooga): The senior averaged 20 points, six rebounds, four steals and five assists per game. He was named to the 7-AA All-Region team.


 Isaac Thomas (Trion): The junior finished the season with a double-double average with 14.5 points and 10.9

rebounds per game. He was named to the 6-A All-Region team, was nominated for All-State, and was the NW Georgia Tipoff Club player of the year for Trion.
