The Rockmart Yellow Jackets baseball team suffered a 10-0 road loss to Central-Carroll on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets (6-12 overall, 3-5 region) had a chance to score in the first inning, placing two runners on base but Lions pitcher Avery Gaines forced Rockmart to hit into a double play to end their only scoring chance of the night. Rockmart had only three hits in the game.
Central-Carroll (7-11, 4-4) had 13 hits in a game that lasted just over an hour. The Lions scored two runs in the first inning and then added six runs in the second inning to build an 8-0 lead.
Rockmart is scheduled to play again on Monday, at home, against Haralson County.
