Baseball: Ringgold ends season in second round of

The Ringgold High School baseball team ended its season in the GHSA Class AAA second round on Thursday, May 8 at Blessed Trinity with 5-2 and 1-0 losses.

The Tigers, led by head coach Brent Tucker, defeated Jackson County, 11-1 and 5-2, in the first round on May 3.

The Blue-and-White were led by veterans, senior Austin Parrish (P), junior Slade Dale (SS) and junior Logan Baldwin (P/OF) this year.

The Tigers finished the season with a record of 19-11 after losing eight seniors from the squad that finished runners-up in the Class AAA State Tournament in 2012.

They also finished second in the region to Cartersville, who snapped a six-game winning streak.
