BASEBALL: Cedartown holds off Pickens, 7-4

The Cedartown Bulldogs (10-4 overall, 3-2 sub-region) scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back as they downed Pickens for the second time in three days, this time by the final score of 7-4.

Jimmy Hand went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI while Blake Oxenreider went 2-for-4 with three runs scored to lead the Bulldogs offense. Kory Lindsey added a single, a stolen base and scored a run for Cedartown.

Taylor Logan went 2-for-2 with two RBI for Pickens (6-5, 0-2).

The Bulldogs and Dragons play again Friday, this time in Pickens at 5:55 p.m.
