After last Thursday’s disappointing showing against their Polk County rivals Rockmart, the Cedartown Bulldogs had a bad taste in their mouths.

So after a long weekend off, the Bulldogs were more than eager to return to the diamond.

Playing on Monday in their first road game of the season, Cedartown was able to down the Armuchee Indians 8-4 in a non-region game. The eight runs were the most the Bulldogs have scored in one game this season.

It was the Indians third straight loss to start the year.

Cedartown (2-1) will play again on Friday, visiting Rockmart for a rematch. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 5 p.m.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs will conclude a busy week of traveling as they visit Lithia Springs for a non-region game.
