2 women accused of fighting with gun, hammer at Callier Forest Apartments

Two neighbors who reportedly got into a fight at Callier Forest Apart-ments were in jail without bond Sunday night.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jessica Noel Jackson, 30, and Wanda Jean Chambers, 52, who live in sepa-rate apartments in the E Building of the apartment complex, 131 Dodd Blvd., were arrested Saturday night following an argument.

Police say Chambers tried to hit Jackson with a hammer and Jackson brandished a handgun and threatened to kill Chambers. Jackson also re-fused police orders to get on the ground and was forced down.

Chambers was being held on a felony aggravated assault charge.

Jackson is charged with felony aggravated assault and the misdemeanors obstruction of an officer, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of dangerous drugs, drugs not kept in the original container and simple battery.
