A shopping excursion with an improperly obtained bank credit card this past summer has resulted in the arrest of a Rome woman.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Mary Jane Sheree Bannister, 47, of 749 New Calhoun Highway, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony exploitation of a disabled adult or elder and felony financial transaction card fraud and was being held for Gordon County authorities after taking the card of an 87-year-old Floyd County man and using it to make a $35 purchase in a local store.
The incident occurred on July 10.
Bannister was being held in the Floyd County Jail Friday morning without bond.
