A Floyd County woman has been jailed after her arrest in West Rome with a significant amount of methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Rebecca Lynn Simpson, 34, of 26 Northside Drive, was stopped by Rome police at the intersection of Redmond Circle and West Butler Street Thursday night.

When police conducted a search of the vehicle they recovered approximately 24 grams of suspected meth, multiple pills wrapped in a plastic bag, an unused needle and a firearm that had been reported stolen out of Alabama.

Simpson was charged with felonies for possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, theft by receiving from another state and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.  She was charged with misdemeanors for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs not in an original container, possession of drug related objects and giving a false name and date of birth.

She was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Friday morning.
