A Rome woman has been jailed after allegedly forging checks for more than $9,000 on the account of an 84-year old, reports stated
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Brandy Nicole Stoner, 32, of 1188 Cunningham Road, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with felony exploitation of an elder, four counts of felony forgery and two misdemeanor forgery counts.
She is accused of forging the victim’s name to four checks for amounts over $1,500 and two others that were cashed for more than $1,000
A warrant for her arrest indicates the forgeries occurred in January.
Stoner was being held in the Floyd County Jail pending a $10,100 bond.
