A West Rome man accused of holding a woman inside her home was in jail Tuesday, pending a $5,700 bond.
According to Floyd Jail reports:
Dennis Adam Walls, 42, of 317 W. Brookwood Ave., is facing charges of felony false imprisonment, and two misdemeanors, simple battery and criminal trespassing. All three of the charges were filed under provisions of the Family Violence Act.
He is accused of striking a woman with her own purse late Monday night, then breaking down the door to her bedroom as she attempted to call for help. Walls also told the victim he was not going to let her open the door if police came to the scene.
