A Rome man charged with burglarizing a fast food restaurant with panties on his head remained in jail Wednesday with no bond.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Andrew Quinton Self, 33, of 14 Parkwood Drive, was arrested Tuesday and charged with a June 6 burglary at Long John Silver’s restaurant, 811 Shorter Ave.

Self entered Long John Silver’s at 3 a.m. while wearing a pair of panties on his head and socks on his hands — but because of the large leg hole in the panties, he was easily identified.

Warrant information indicated that Self was friends with the manager at the time and knew the combination to the safe. He removed $411 from the restaurant at that time, then returned at 5:48 a.m. and took $276 for a total of $687.

Self is charged with two felony counts of burglary in the first degree.

He remained jailed Wednesday with no bond.
