A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man and a woman possession of methamphetamine charges late Monday night.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Michelle Cantu, 45, of 1401 Calhoun Ave., stopped around 8:15 p.m. Monday and police found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine in it.
Her passenger Tomas Valdez, 23, of 215 Paris Drive, had a small metal container with suspected methamphetamine along with two glass pipes containing the same substance.
Both Cantu and Valdez are charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor for possession of drug related objects. Cantu was also cited failing to main her lane of traffic.
Cantu was being held Tuesday without bond on a probation violation. Valdez remained in jail Tuesday on $5,700 bond.
