Two arrested on Old Dalton Road, charged with possession of meth

A Rome man pulled over for driving an unregistered truck also faces a series of felony drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Olon Beechard Pearson, 22, of 8 Tency Lane, was stopped by Floyd County police late Tuesday night near the intersection of Old Dalton Road and Mark Street.

Police said Pearson had a number of bags with a white crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine, a set of digital scales and additional packaging materials.

Haley Alexis Holbrook, 20, also of 8 Tency Lane, is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.

Pearson was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, felony possession of meth and misdemeanors for possession of drug related objects, driving without insurance and operat-ing an unregistered vehicle.

Both Holbrook and Pearson were being held in jail early Wednesday.
